Eagle Eye

February 9, 2009

7

I used the 5DII’s Live View feature to capture this shot. I find that Live View is really great for capturing subjects that are positioned in such a way that you can’t easily bring the viewfinder to your eye to see the shot. I initially considered cropping the top and bottom of this shot, as I felt that they edges were a bit too busy. When I tried the crop I realised that the wood at the bottom and the ceiling actually framed it nicely, so I decided to leave it uncropped.
