Television Rainbow

Television Rainbow

This is probably my favourite PhotoBlog post so far. It was very simple to create these images, just freeze the room with a touch of off-camera flash and give the camera a little twitch as you take the exposure. The flash freezes everything that isn’t emitting light and the light moves with the camera. I tried this from a few different angles with varying rainbow patterns but found that shooting from below worked best. The vivid colours on the television created a fantastic rainbow effect that really makes these images pop!

In order to make these images fit into our current theme of square crops, off-camera flash and vivid colours I decided to merge the two images together into a diptych. The colours in this image were already very vibrant. Hardly any post production has been done, even the vignette is natural from the flash!
