‘Basil’ as he is affectionately known is a male pheasant that frequents my Mum’s garden. I caught this shot of him flaunting in front of the lady pheasants a couple of days ago and decided it would make a great blog entry.

Basil, has not returned this year (hope he is not someone’s Christmas Dinner)…… but we still have the Basildinas (ladies) and also a lovely young “Basilronaldophino” (pretty long name!)
