A portrait/lifestyle shoot is all about you! I enjoy getting to know my clients and will always endeavour to capture a piece of your character and personality within each image.
I want you to have images that you’re proud to show off to your friends and family, I want them to be able to see who you are and why you’re great and I want you to be able to display your photos however you want.
Locations
With all of my photography services I work exclusively on-location. I often like to hold portrait sessions in parks, around the countryside or in areas with modern architecture. I’ve laid out a few sample images below to get your taste buds tingling!
Parks are great locations for portrait/lifestyle shoots, pretty much everyone has a park within walking distance of their house; so why not invite me to yours for a photoshoot?! I work on location as it allows me to capture you in a natural environment, sometimes even interacting with your surroundings. Trees and foliage can be used to provide a point of interest within an image, to tell a story. Open spaces in parks can be used to create simple elegant backgrounds.
I love to take landscape and nature photographs in the countryside but it’s also a great place for a portrait shoot, it’s like having a giant park at our disposal! I will often use a scene fit for a landscape shot on it’s own as an epic background for a portrait, these shots look great printed large.
Commercial and industrial areas are fantastic locations for a photoshoot. The majority of location based people photography is shot around areas with a lot of interesting architecture in them. There are so many different colours and interesting textures to be found in these locations which can be used to create clean, modern and stylish portraits.
